There are many deeds and worships to do in Ramadan in order to seek forgiveness and impress Allah. But according to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), there are four things that we should do in great number in the month of Ramadan.
In the month of Ramadan four things we should perform in great number, two of which shall be to please our Lord, while the other two shall be those without which we cannot do. Those which shall be to please our Lord, are that we should in great quantity bear witness that there is no deity to worship except Allah (i.e. Kalimah Tayyibah) and make much Istighfar (beg Allah's forgiveness). And as for those without which we cannot do, we should beg of Allah, entrance into paradise and ask refuge in Him from Jahannam (hell).
Four things to perform in great number in Ramadan:
- Bear witness that there is no deity to worship except Allah
- Seek forgiveness from Allah
- Pray for the entrance into paradise
- Seek refuge from hell
May Allah give us courage to perform all the four things and strength to keep fast in Ramadan.
